Professional Note: The above data is for reference only. Due to differences in processing equipment and mold design, we recommend conducting a trial mold before mass production.
Due to its excellent processing flow and mechanical properties, K300 is widely used in the following precision industries:
Automotive: With its oil resistance and high fatigue strength, it is commonly used for seat belt components, fuel level sensors, window lifter gears, and interior switches.
Electronics: Used in printer gears, recorder mechanism parts, and washing machine clutch components. Its excellent insulation ensures the safety of electrical operation.
Consumer Goods: Typical applications include zipper fasteners, sprayer nozzles, furniture slides, and high-end toy precision parts.
Machinery: Its self-lubricating characteristics make it perfect for bearings, cams, valve components, and conveyor chains.
To help you select the most suitable material, we compare K300 with other common materials:
| Dimension | POM K300 (Kolon) | POM K700 (High Flow) | Nylon PA6 (GF30) |
| Main Features | Balanced, Versatile | Ultra-high flow for thin walls | Higher strength, high absorption |
| Dimensional Stability | Excellent (No absorption) | High | Fair (Affected by humidity) |
| Wear Resistance | Superior (Self-lubricating) | Superior | Good (Requires additives) |
| Cost Comparison | Medium | Medium | Depends on brand |
To achieve optimal product quality, please refer to the following processing parameters:
Drying: Although POM has low hygroscopicity, it is recommended to dry at 80°C – 90°C for 2 – 4 hours to remove surface moisture and prevent silver streaks.
Melt Temp: The recommended range is 180°C – 210°C. Note: Do not exceed 230°C to avoid material degradation and the generation of formaldehyde gas.
Mold Temp: Recommended between 60°C – 100°C. Higher mold temperatures help improve surface gloss, crystallinity, and dimensional stability.
Professional Tip: If the machine is stopped for more than 20 minutes, be sure to purge the barrel to prevent material decomposition from heat.
Q1: Can Kolon Kocetal K300 be used in food contact applications?
A: Yes, certain grades of the Kocetal series comply with FDA or EU food contact standards. Please contact us to obtain the compliance certificate for a specific batch before application.
Q2: Why is K300 suitable for replacing metal in gear production?
A: Because POM K300 offers high fatigue life and self-lubricating properties. It operates with low noise, requires no additional lubrication, and significantly reduces processing costs through one-step injection molding.
Q3: Do you provide the original TDS and MSDS for K300?
A: As a professional plastic resin material wholesaler in china, ZiJun Plastics provides complete original TDS, MSDS, and COA quality certification documents for every batch delivered to customers.
